Pesach Tikvah takes pride in the range of services it provides, and the degree of quality with which these services are delivered.

Below is a detailed listing of Pesach Tikvah's core programs.

Family Service Center

Each year, at the Pesach Tikvah Family Service Center, hundreds of men, women and children, receive services ranging from in-depth assessments and therapy, to advocacy and support through periods of crisis and stress. Available services include individual, marital, and play therapy, family counseling, pharmacotherapy, and psychological and psychiatric evaluations.

This OMH (Office of Mental Health) licensed clinic is staffed by an exceptional team of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers uniquely skilled in providing their consumers a personalized "private-practice" feeling within Pesach Tikvah's full service clinic setting. In doing so, Pesach Tikvah insures countless children, adults, and families a second chance at leading healthier, more productive lives.

Continuing Day Treatment Program (CDTP)

The Pesach Tikvah Continuing Day Treatment Program (CDTP) provides a full therapeutic, vocational, social, and recreational program for adults struggling with the often overwhelming challenges of living and coping with psychiatric illness. Licensed by the OMH, the program includes various skill-building activities such as discussion groups, sewing and cooking classes, art therapy, group trips, and workshop training activities. Expertly staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and counselors, Pesach Tikvah's CDTP is characterized by its team approach toward treating those in its care.

Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)

Pesach Tikvah's Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) provides a total care environment for adult women, with developmental disabilities. Licensed by the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD), this warm, personalized residential setting is geared towards ensuring the comfort, health, and well being of the women in its care.

Community Residence (CR)

The Community Residence (CR) was established to provide shelter for adult males with psychiatric diagnoses who are unable to live independently. For many of these consumers, the ultimate goal is graduating to a less restrictive setting, or possibly mainstreaming back into their respective communities. In the meantime, this OMH licensed residence maintains its ongoing focus on assisting consumers in the development of their advanced daily living skills while providing them with a safe, warm and caring environment.

Holocaust Program

The Holocaust Program (funded by the Claims Confrence) provides practical, financial, and emotional support to elderly Jews who lived through the most horrific catastrophe of modern Jewish history. For the thousands of holocaust survivors living in North Brooklyn, the program provides home visits, advocacy, assistance with medical issues, and help in obtaining specialized medical equipment. Social events, group meetings and holiday parties serve to integrate these individuals, and prevent isolation or estrangement within this aging population.

On-site and Off-site Respite Program

Pesach Tikvah's On-site and Off-site Respite Program assists the parents of young children with developmental disabilities residing at home and attending special education schools. Every Sunday and legal holiday, when schools are closed, these special children receive structured recreation in a warm and caring environment.

The underlying aim of each child's involvement is to improve social functioning, and to develop fine and gross motor skills through a variety of engaging programs and activities. Furthermore, recreational programming serves to improve each child's self-esteem, as well as to facilitate his/her emotional development.

Medicaid Service Coordination

Medicaid Service Coordination (MSC) services are provided for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Devoted service coordinators forge personal relationships with consumers and their families in order to ensure that needed services-as determined during Individualized Service Plan (ISP) meetings-are provided effectively and consistently.

In-Home Residential Habilitation

In-home Residential Habilitation (RH) refers to services provided to children with developmental disabilities. These services are provided at home and are aimed at improving a child's behavior and increasing his/her ability to function independently. Primary areas of focus are: personal care, the enhancement of communication skills, community inclusion, and health and safety awareness.

Residential Habilitation can also include funds for summer camp, therapeutic equipment and supplies, as well as transportation to swimming, music, recreation, computer, and art therapy. Provision is subject to availability of government funding.
