Lea Scharf is a LCSW who has been working at Pesach Tikvah for eight years. Lea Scharf holds several leadership positions. She is the Director of the Training Insititute, a Clinical Supervisor, and the CMHC Project Director.
Lea Scharf is also a therapist. She is trained in EMDR, Somatic Intervention, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, DBT, CBT, IFS, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. She works mostly using a Psychoanalytic approach, with the use of Somatic Intervention and EMDR. Lea Scharf works with older teens and adults. She primarily treats trauma, anxiety, depression, and complicated relationship or family issues. Lea Scharf describes her therapeutic practice as warm, safe, direct, and human.
Lea Scharf is a graduate of Touro Graduate School of Social Work. Before Pesach Tikvah, she was a high school teacher and worked with at-risk teens. She is the founder and initiator of The Motzai Shabbos Program for teens in Flatbush. She was also the Senior Project Coordinator for Ohr Naava – Rabbi Zecharia Wallerstein Z"L - The Hakaras Hatov Initiative.
